On 10th November, Counsellor Petra Smitmanis Dry and First Secretary Nina Genneby at the Embassy of Sweden in Nairobi paid a courtesy visit to the Local Government Institute office in Hargeisa, Somaliland.  As Sweden is a key donor of the UN JPLG program,

LGI presented its achievements on local governance and decentralized service delivery to the Swedish Delegates. The Swedish Delegates also toured the construction site of LGI’s main office, which is underway and is planned to finish soon.

Petra and Nina have applauded the remarkable success of LGI and showed their commitment to supporting the institution in the near future.
