On 22nd November 2021, the Local Government Institute convened a three-day induction training for Executive Secretaries of the 23 Electoral Districts in Somaliland. Various representatives from Ministries (Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Education), Champions Office, LGI, UN JPLG partners (UNDP, UNCDF, and ILO), Local Governments, and all Executive Secretaries of the 23 Electoral Districts attended the training.  The training aims to give a broader understanding of decentralization, good governance, functions of local governments, and key legislations, including the regions and district law 23/2019 and other relevant laws.
